Abstract:
The evolution of international migration flows implies interaction between immigrants and natives. So, the receiving countries of immigrants approach the phenomenon with integration programmes. However, the visibility of immigrants in host countries requires public migration policies to accompany immigrants and sensitise the native population. Spain is one of the countries that managed diversity, privileging the coexistence model to the detriment of others of assimilation or multiculturalism. Betting on the regularization of immigrants, Morocco still doubts which migration policies and integration models to choose. The objective of this research is to contextualize Spanish and Moroccan migration policies to know the main integration difficulties and reflect on the appropriate instruments to improve diversity management. To this end, the research question is as follows: Are migration management policies of diversity in Spain successful to talk about an extrapolated and applicable model in Morocco? In this context, the extrapolation of the Spanish diversity management model constitutes a roadmap for Morocco. Analyzing the Spanish and Moroccan integration programs, it follows that migration policies for Spanish and Moroccan emigrants are similar. On the other hand, those destined for immigrants are divergent. With this in mind, it is recommended that the Spanish model of diversity management be applicable in Morocco in order to better integrate immigrants. So, Morocco needs to adopt the coexistence model in with immigrants and Moroccans have and share a common space.
