Orientación emprendedora: Un estudio Psicometrico y Predictivo en Colombia y España

Abstract:
The present doctoral paper has as main axis the Entrepreneurial Orientation (EO). It consists of a theoretical introduction, three scientific articles and an epilogue. The participants were between 1.761 and 883, select through non-probability sampling. The data collected were processed by the programs: SPSS 25.0., Mplus and FACTOR 8.2. The first study carried out an adaptation of the Individual Entrepreneurial Orientation Scale, which has not been validated in Spanish, although the psychometric properties of the scale were analyzed in this language. The participants were 1.761 workers. After undergoing an AFE, the first subsample confirms a one-factorial solution of 10 items. Subsequently, an AFC was performed on a second subsample, the results replicate the previous ones. The second study suggests that exists a connection between certain personality variables and EO. The objective of this study is to conduct a predict study of the personality variables that are capable of influence EO. The participants were 883 workers. To do so, we use the following indicators: Big-five personality, resistance, self-esteem, self-efficacy, impulsivity, proactivity, curiosity, internal locus control, optimism and pessimism. Our results determine the predict capacity of the personality variables, curiosity and optimism in relation with EO. We conclude that EO can be predicted through several variables. The third study, it is examined whether curiosity is a moderator variable between Impulsivity and EO. The participants were 833 workers. Empirical evidence points out that Curiosity-D has a moderating role between Dysfunctional Impulsivity and EO. And Curiosity-D affects the intensity of the connection between Dysfunctional Impulsivity (predictor variable) and EO (criterion variable).
