    Abstract:
The diagnosis of celiac disease (CD) has increased in recent years, thanks to improvements in serology and the inclusion of risk groups such as first-degree relatives of celiac patients or patients with another autoimmune disease into the screening protocol. As a consequence, the number of asymptomatic patients has also increased. They are less expressiveness at the serological or histopathological level. This can complicate the final diagnosis, as we are dealing with more complicated cases such as potential celiac disease or ultrashort celiac disease. The use of advanced techniques will be essential to avoid underdiagnosis and overdiagnosis. We have conducted two studies. In the first one, we demonstrated that symptomatic and asymptomatic patients are similar at the clinical, analytical, and histopathological level, with small differences that do not change the final diagnosis. In the second, we have tried to assess the usefulness of the intestinal lymphogram in cases of CD of uncertain diagnosis, having verified that this technique is effective, especially in ultrashort CD, but also in potential CD and in Helicobacter pylori coinfection
