    Abstract:
This thesis provides an overview of the production of chitosan/sodium tripolyphosphate (CS/TPP)crosslinked microcapsules and nanocapsules, and studying their interaction with normal and cancer cells in simulated physiological environments. The research offers significan! insights into their properties and applications. Two production methods were used for CS/TPP capsules: spray drying resulting in a 0.8 µm to 50 µm size ranges, which were pH-stable dueto physical crosslinking. CS/TPP microcapsules with folie acid exhibited pH-dependent behavior. Coaxial electrospray methodology was developing to produce globular CS/TPP crosslinked nanocapsules. In vitro tests on BJ normal and SCLII cancer cell lines showed interaction differences depending on cell growth systems, with spheroid setups mimicking in vivo conditions and affecting cellular behavior, which the nanocapsules showed a toxic effect on SCLII cancer cells. These findings are promising for future developments in chemotherapy technologies.
