    Abstract:
In the new era of digitization, the rapid acquisition and conversion of information are at the forefront of every tool and technological innovation. Artificial intelligence, for example, has been successfully incorporated into our society by iterating, learning, and collecting all kinds of data. Expanding this system to other areas, including health and wellbeing, will demand an equal or higher proportion of data, which, at the same time, will require new tools to acquire it. For this reason, this thesis aims to explore new methodologies to generate (bio)chemical information through innovative electrochemical platforms. Based on the most fundamental concepts of sensor architecture, this work proposes novel devices that can overcome the typical problems of sampling, collection, and transfer of data that limit the implementation of electrochemical sensors in our society. To do so, the main interactions and configurations that give way to obtaining an analytical signal in potentiometric, amperometric, and organic-based transistor sensors are discussed and classified from the beginning. From this point, new fabrication routes are formulated and experimentally demonstrated within the health and wellness framework.
