    Abstract:
This thesis analyses how technology can support teachers in the design, implementation, and evaluation of teaching and learning processes (E/A), developing and evaluating a self-assessment tool to improve their pedagogical application. The study was carried out using the 'Educational Design Research' (EDR) methodology, using a mixed methodological approach that combines qualitative and quantitative analysis. The collaboration of experts and teachers from various educational stages was essential for the design and evaluation of the prototype tool. The research was structured in three phases. The first phase consisted of the conceptualization and preliminary design of the tool, based on a systematic review of the literature, establishing the theoretical bases and the key indicators for teaching self-assessment. In the second phase, developed in three iterations, the first validated the tool through expert judgment. The second iteration examined the practicality and pedagogical utility through a questionnaire in the Virtual Learning Environment 'Odyssey' (Moodle), analysing the perceptions of use between teachers according to the educational level and gender. The third iteration focused on pedagogical usability, applying a usability questionnaire to teachers who had completed self-evaluation. The third phase focused on the effectiveness of the tool and its impact, using focal groups with teachers classified by their previously identified level of competence. Practical implications were highlighted for teachers, areas of improvement, and opportunities. The thesis concludes that, although mobile devices offer significant opportunities to enrich teaching and learning, their effective integration into the classroom depends on interconnected factors such as content (TPACK), methodological strategies, activities, evaluation, technological resources, and technological learning and teaching. In addition, challenges and benefits were identified according to the level of teaching experience with mobile devices, from beginners to experts. The result of the research is an open and adaptable self-assessment tool designed to be used by the educational community as a whole.
