Abstract:
The Venezuelan farming view shows both complex and dramatic results. According to the opinion of expert people who study farming affairs, a series of factors should be given in order to change that view; they also show up education as the variable which will let those factors be helpful. Although alternatives of solution have been proposed, all over the education historical process in the Venezuelan rural setting, through the implementation of programs, projects and reforms that could be excellent, they haven't been enough; because we see a lot of schools in critical conditions, disappointed teachers, educational communities without the desire to cooperate with the schools, students seem to have other goals rather than being educated, the government doesn't develop projects related to the community needs and region real situation (although it has developed educational missions, where Bolivarian Schools can be mentioned); this is inside an environment where counter-culture, anti-values and behaviors are far away from moral and good manners. This research proposes, based on the previous motives, to evaluate the rural basic education in the 'Libertad' and 'Independencia' counties belonging to Táchira state, within the comparison 'being' and 'must be' approach inside the educational process. Forty (40) teachers and ten (10) principals were interviewed through a methodology based on the dialectic hermeneutics; moreover, a FODA matrix was elaborated. This lets us find a series of misinterpretations in the answers, and particular interpretations of teachers' attitudes and values that are modeled on children, but not taken into consideration for the community development; that's to say, there is no remarkable educational influence that could be considerate within the context or labor performance of community members.

Key Words: farming view, education, rural environment, hermeneutics, values, attitudes, context, labor performance.
