The aim of this thesis is to analyze the impact of sources of innovation, the technological frontier and the determinants of absorptive capacity on productivity, from both a macroeconomic perspective (at country level) and a microeconomic perspective (at company level). We will also analyze how this impact varies depending on whether a company imitates or innovates.
