Resumen:
The studies about the Iberian culture carried out in the past thirty years have been quite intensive and have generated an important amount of information. However, the lack of analyses of the public spaces has been a constant in all these studies. The scarcity of research on this issue encouraged me to perform an intense research on the analysis of the uses and functions that public spaces may have. I have identified a huge number of activities related to the social, economical and ritual aspects. I have focused my research in some specific issues such as the administration of public spaces, domestic, economical and ritual activities. Public spaces become multifunctional areas, according to the special needs of the Iberian populations. I may assure that they are played an essential role in the Iberian culture, as they are a meeting point and an exchange spot. They happen to be the spaces of the community.
