    Resumen:
Bishop Fructuosus and Deacons Augurius and Eulogius were martyred in the Tarraco amphitheatre in the year 259. The principle evidence of this can be found in a liturgical-hagiographic text called Passio Fructuosi (s. III-IV). This thesis analyses the document and the Christian cult worship of these saints, from a historical and archaeological perspective. We analyse their worship over the years, along with the evidence for such worship, to be found in different sites, places, cultural buildings, relics, and also hagiographic and euchologic documents. This analysis enables us to evaluate both diachronically and globally, the impact that this phenomenon had on different aspects such as the transformation of the urban landscape, basic founding aspects of the late Roman and medieval Christian town, the liturgical and symbolic interpretation of the temples and sites associated with these martyrs both in Ancient times and into the medieval period, institutional power relations, changes in culture and customs, signs of identity of peoples or religious and spiritual implications.
