    Resumen:
    In this thesis we have developed a methodology for the energy analysis of different integration configurations of thermal solar thermal cooling systems in district heating and cooling networks. To do this, first we have developed a relatively simple method able to estimate the heating and cooling demands of buildings from their basic design data and the meteorological data. We have also compared and developed some models to predict the thermal performance of thermal chillers and identified the different integration configurations of solar cooling systems in heating and cooling networks. Finally, we have compared, from the energy point of view, the different integration options for the specific case of the future solar cooling system at Cerdanyola del Vallès chiller, using the thermal chiller and solar collector models validated with experimental data of the solar cooling system of the company FESTO in Germany.
