    Resumen:
This doctoral thesis aims to analyze the career of the artist José Luis Pascual and catalog his works since its very beginnings until 1998. This work seeks to contribute to the recognition and consolidation of one of the leading artists of the Catalan contemporary art, showing a general overview of his contributions to the development of artistic art in recent years. An artist of unmistakable style, who has always remained faithful to the figuration, which this work allows us to know in all its facets, whether as a painter, sculptor, designer or gallery owner. In addition, the catalog becomes a consultation tool that allows us to go through each of the periods in which we have classified his trajectory, depending on his place of residence: First works, first years, Barcelona, Ibiza, Centelles and the Empordà. This classification not only makes possible to study the sociocultural and artistic context of each period, as well as the personal biography of the artist, but also the materials, techniques, style and procedures that characterizes each of them and marks the personal and unequivocal imprint of José Luis Pascual.
