    SUMMARY Throughout my professional experience as a nurse, including community work, as well as a ten-year tenure as a nurse on the Health and School (“Salut i Escola”) Programme, I have encountered situations in which teenagers find themselves in vulnerable and unprotected situtaions, lacking information and knowledge on what resources are available to them in case of need. While Internet usage by teenagers can offer an opportunity for personal and social development, it is also a potential source of risks and problems. Social and cultural aspects of sex can both predetermine internet usage patterns, and the consequences of internet usage. This thesis aims to develop and evaluate a novel digital tool which complements the “Salut i Escola” Programme. This tool is designed to promote awareness and help prevent select health issues in teenagers, improve knowledge and attitudes to sexually transmitted diseases and encourage sexual rights. Objectives: Design and implement the Salut i Escola 2.0 blog as an ancillary tool to direct/personal interaction/attention in the Salut i Escola programme, 2. Analyse the use of internet and social networks by teenagers as regards, and 3 Evaluate the effectivity of a specific action for sexual health awareness. Methodology: This is a descriptive, quantitative transverse study performed at two high schools in Baix Llobregat (Barcelona). The study subjects were 292 14 to 16 year old high school students.The study variables were collected using an online form with Google Forms. Recorded data includedes sociodemographic variables linked to family and to internet usage, and validated scales on: Scale of Knowledge about HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, HIV- Attitude Scale, Anxiety for health, AIDS phobia. Data Analysis: Was carried out through Wilcoxon test for the numbering variables and Fisher Test for the categorical variables. It is taken into account variables as meaningful when P-value is the same or less tan 0,005. Intervention is considered “ effect size “ of 0,2 low, 0,5 medium and 0,8 high. The statistical processing of data have been carried out through R-project (The R Project for Statistical Computing).
