Resumen:
The thesis: 'Domestic economic strategies of the peasants of the Valencian Country: a study of the region of l’Horta' focuses on family farming and the strategies they deploy for its viability. Two are deeply analysed below: 1. Marketing of our own wholesale production in the Food Market of the city of Valencia and retail in local markets. The main source of information for this strategy has been field work with interviews with actors, observation, survey and data recorded in Mercavalencia. The interviews carried out between 1986 and 1993 for people born up until 1950, which had made or were marketing their products, gathering the marketing activity throughout the 20th Century. This activity is practiced throughout the world and takes on special meaning in the current context of food security, local consumption or km. “0” so the producers capture the commercial benefits. 2. The transfer of land ownership, avoiding its dispersion and favoring the viability and reproduction of the domestic agrarian group, is studied from the written source of notarial protocols. The transmission of the property of the land of more than 500 inheritances from the years 1890, 1930 and 1970 of the File of Notarial Protocols of València is analysed.
