Synergistic approaches to catalyst design for efficient production of enantiopure substances

    Resumen:
    The growing demand far enantiopure compounds in industries such as pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals has driven the development of efficient technologies far their preparation. Among various strategies, asymmetric catalysis has emerged as a powerful tool dueto its selectivity and efficiency. This thesis addresses three relevan! transformations in asymmetric catalysis: 1) lridium-catalyzed hydrogenation of olefins, 2) Palladium-catalyzed allylic substitution, and 3) Palladium-catalyzed allylic cycloadditions. With the aim of developing more versatile catalytic systems, generate new chiral motifs and minimize the waste of scarce and expensive noble metals, synergistic approaches involving DFT calculations, modular ligand libraries, and heterogenization of metal complexes were employed.
