    In order Nucleus approaches the institutional improvement in the University of the Andes - Trujillo, we appear(appeared) the present investigation under the title(degree) Quality of the university Education. I marry: Department of Economic and Administrative Sciences. In the frame of the program of doctorate ' Innovation of the Educational System ' that is realized in agreement between(among) the University Rovira i Virgili - Spain and the University of the Andes - Venezuela.The intention raised by means of this way of investigation was to propose a plan of constant improvement of the quality of the education given in the department object of study that he(she,I) contributes(pays,contribute,pay) to the institutional improvement of the university. The study fixed his(its) attention in to evaluate how the education is developing in the department, considering to be the participation of all his(its,her) members a fundamental element to sustain, so much the process of evaluation and diagnosis of the current situation, as the offers of constant improvement of the quality of the education.To achieve the aim(lens) proposed in the study, we consider(considered) to develop three stages or fundamental aspects. On one hand, the process of consultation and participation for consensuar the decisions related to the evaluation, then the evaluation in strict sense and the diagnosis of the current situation of the given education, and finally the design of the plan of improvement continues of the quality.The fundamental characteristics of the process were, on one hand, the evaluation he(she) hospitalizes(sends inland) or autoevaluation of all his(its,her) members and on the other hand, to sustain the offers of constant improvement from the above mentioned autoevaluation. As for the methodological aspects, inside the quantitative and qualitative perspective, we choose(chose) for a complementary or mixed methodology, which, in opinion of some authors, seems to be adapted in reason of the object of study. Overcoming the dilemma between(among) both and thinking that this mixture(mixing) of attributes of both perspectives allows to improve the process of investigation. Equally we agree(agreed) to use in the investigation the study of case, for his(its) wealth as strategy to penetrate into the comprehension of dynamical realities and his(its) contribution to the clarification of a royal(real) situation contextualizada.The instruments used to gather the information were the questionnaires, interviews, groups of discussion and analysis of documents. The processing and analysis of the information of the questionnaire we realize(realized) it in a personal computer by means of the program of statistical analysis SPSS. We realize(realized) descriptive analyses of the opinions, differences in the averages, medians, maximums and minimums; and crossings variables by means of tables of contingencies. This analysis it we complement(complemented) with the qualitative analysis so much of the content of the questionnaire since(as,like) of the group of discussion.The evaluation hospitalizes(sends inland) or autoevaluation that we carried out in the department of economic and administrative sciences allowed to come to the description of his(its) current situation and represented an exercise participativo of deep reflection of all his(its,her) members us. The present investigation does not represent a finished work. On the contrary it(he,she) is the beginning of a long way that we want(wanted) to cross, a fan of alternatives to lead to the practice the multiple aspirations of the agents interested in the university education, particularly of the education given in the Department of Economic and Administrative Sciences of the University of the Andes, Nucleus Trujillo.
