    Authors:  Güell i Escolà, Júlia
    Abstract:
This systematic review evaluates the safety and benefits of therapeutic exercise in the treatment of cancer-related lymphedema. Nineteen studies published between 2020 and 2026 were analyzed. The results show that exercise is safe, without increasing lymphedema volume or causing adverse effects. Furthermore, it improves muscle strength, functionality, pain, and quality of life, and may reduce the volume of the affected limb. Combining it with complex decongestive therapy enhances clinical benefits. However, further research is needed to optimize its prescription.
