    Identifier:  TFG:10092
    Authors:  Chaczko Korzeniowska, Aleksandra Anna
    Abstract:
DNA possesses unique properties that make it a promising medium for data storage, with the potential to replace conventional systems. This work reviews its applications in preserving and transmitting digital information, including cryptography and steganography, as well as in cellular processes such as environmental recording and lineage tracing. It explores the properties of DNA that enable it to function as a robust storage system, and examines how data can be encoded, stored, and later retrieved. Representative examples of each application are presented, along with an analysis of their main technical limitations and an outlook on future developments in the field.
