    Abstract:
This quasi-experimental study analyzed the effect of functional ankle taping on jump and landing biomechanics in 92 competitive basketball players. Conditions with and without taping were compared using various functional jump and stability tests. The results showed no significant differences in jump performance, but did reveal an increase in ankle pronation and dynamic knee valgus during landing when taped. In conclusion, functional taping does not affect performance but can alter biomechanics, necessitating complementary neuromuscular and technical training
