    Abstract:
    The shadow of the internet is a research work that seeks to deepen, from a legal point of view, computer crimes. In order to study this issue, you have to look at what the doctrine meant by computer crime, that is why in the first chapter is bounded the concept of computer crime and the different types with which you can group this type of offense. In the next chapter, it analyzes the evolution of computer crime, it is important to know why have grown so much in the past few years and the forecast to continue growing for the following years. In the third chapter contains a reference to the national and international legislation that has tried to regulate these crimes. In the research work is also reflects, the difficulties that the police has to be able to determine the authorship and the judges to blame the author, since there is a set of procedural aspects which make it very difficult tasks of research, it is for this reason that it is considered appropriate to include an interview with the head of the Department of Computer Crime of the Mossos d'Esquadra, Mr Jordi Domènech, to know their way of working to complaints of these crimes, the vision about all the regulation and tools that they are provided for the investigation. The part more extensive in the research is the investigation of a particular type of computer crime against of personal privacy, the sexting. To know the type of this crime we analyze the concept and we compared with other forms of crime close, but with different characteristics. And finally also analyzes the profile of the subject of crime both the active subject as passive. Finally analyzes in a practical way a typical practice case is sexting, to know the type of crime, the objective and subjective part of the crime and the penalty that could be set. Finally draws the conclusions of the work, in a structured way, in order to understand the computer crime and especially focusing with the practice of sexting. Come conclusions on how this affects crime to the victim, possible measures to prevent crime, reflections on the regulation of these crimes and actions of governments
