    Abstract:
The society is increasingly conscious with environmental problems such as increasing emissions of greenhouse gases, global warming and depleting of the earth’s limited petroleum reserves. For this reason, the chemical industry is trying to develop greener products and to find alternative growth strategies based on sustainable models. Fatty acids derived from plant oils are important renewable raw materials for polymer chemistry. In our case, the 10-undecenoic acid obtained from castor oil pyrolysis is the starting material for monomer synthesis. In this context, we have carried out the transformation of 10-undecenoic acid into two monomers and polymerized these monomers to obtain polyesters. Finally, this polyester has been characterized by IR and 1H-NMR spectroscopies and size exclusion cromatography (SEC).
