    Abstract:
    Objective: to discover the experiencies and views of different local patients and health professionals towards the main risk factors detected in the Uganda’s health system. Methods: qualitative study for seven weeks in Fort Portal (Kasese). The most imporant techniques used for data collection were participant observation and in-depth interviews. The research ended when got enough information for answer the objectives. Results: poverty and other social conditions are the cause of a more vulnerable population to disease, causing in it several negative feelings and thoughts in front of their situation. Conclusion: the holistic care proposed in health anthropology is necessary and improves the perception of health, but it is hampered in Uganda by certain characteristics of its cultural context.
