To this end the use of electronic technologies such as 2.0 websites, is a resource to consider. Silence documentary obtained to search only websites for carers of the mentally ill was avoided to find websites for family caregivers of chronic patients. The websites selected were evaluated using a template, which evaluated authoring, contents, detachment, truthfulness, navigability and design. Later we evaluated if they had contents of mental health, were 2.0 websites, had the HONcode and were updated. The results were Catalonia: Cuidadoras Crónicos (recommended use) and Persones Cuidadores (careful use), Spain: Ser Cuidador (careful use), France: Association Française des aidants (careful use) and Proche de Malade (recommended use), North America: Family Caregiver Alliance (recommended use), Family Caregivers of British Columbia (careful use), Family Caregiver Council (careful use) and Healthy Place (recommended use). The websites are useful when traditional services can’t be offered, provide information to women carers to develop their role with security. Also, they offer social and emotional support, because they permit express themselves and share experiences with other caregivers, as well as answer questions that they have through professional or a expert caregiver/patient advice.
