Nursing cures after a stroke: biblographic review

    Abstract:
    Stroke is caused by the interruption of the blood flow to the cells. It supposes the third cause of death, disability first in the whole world. It causes a huge economic cost for the health system and it affects the life quality of people. This project wants to show the cures and the nursing interventions in patients who had a stroke, and to know if there is enough scientific evidence about that topic nowadays. Objective: Describing the interventions which were done at home by nurses after a stroke. Method: In the following research, there were included articles about cures at the hospital and at home on patients who had had a stroke, and there were used the following data bases: Pubmed, Cuiden, Cinahl, I Cerc@dor Plus, Google Acadèmic. Results: the 16 articles talk about the importance of the continuous cures of nursing at home to minimize the outcomes and to give a better lifer quality to the patient, also a great education on health. Instead, there are two articles which considerate that it was better to do it at the hospital. On the other hand, the majority keep saying that the person in charge of the patient must be included in the cures and to be evaluated as it is done with the patient. Conclusion: A continued attention and valuation of the patient and its family from nurses, individualized and on a specific way, improves the life quality.
