    Abstract:
The stigma related to the mental health patients, has been a though present in the society’s mind, included the health care professionals. For that reason, we aimed to know which kinds of attitudes have the nursing students in front of mental health patients and, to observe if with a prior theoretical training is possible to reduce stigma. Using a literature review, working with twenty six scientific articles and databases named Cuiden, Hemeroteca Cantárida, Scielo and PubMed, we found that the attitudes from the students are quite different. Even we couldn’t find a direct relation between the prior theoretical training on mental health and the decrease of the stigma, the results made us think about the unique position nurses have, and the importance of having a good formation in front those patients to make it. Key words: Stigma, mental health, opinion, nursing students, nursing, perceptions, nurse.
