OPTIMISATION CLEANING SYSTEM OF THE REACTORS OF A PVC PLANT

  • Identification data

    Identifier:  TFG:149
    Authors:  Martínez de Peón, Enrique
    Abstract:
ABSTRACT In this project, a step automated cleaning system for four Batch reactors will be designed, which is part of a PVC plant, minimizing the time this process involves. Since the actual plant is the result of different extensions, each reactor has its own installation, a fact that complicates the operation and generates downtime. The completion of this study implies an improvement in the cleaning system to optimize the cleaning time. Thus, an investment of 670000 € will be a 9% increase in production, which leads to an increase in profits of 260000 € per year, once the investment is recovered, in almost 2 years and 7 months. This project will also have positive impact in the environmental field, as the optimization of the cleaning system will work at closed reactor, and therefore the emissions of VCM to the atmosphere are reduced.
