Abstract:
In this report, a study of the world of cryptocurrencies has been carried out, with bitcoins as a research center, which is a subset of the digital currency. An introduction to the world of money has been carried out to give a general idea of this world as well as a starting point for the reader. The main objective of this work has been to draw a conclusion about the impact of this new type of currency in today's society, investigating the concept of "cryptocurrency" and its characteristics, focusing on a series of concrete aspects such as support technology, investment motivations of users or current legislation, taking as a point of reference the criticisms and opinions of some recognized monetary authorities.
