The Bitcoin, to invest or not to invest?

Abstract:
When we talk about Bitcoin, we don’t simply refer to cryptocurrencies, it also includes all the entire innovative system behind it. The present study does not only analyze the cryptocurrency and its operating system, but also tries to give advice on the viability of investment in Bitcoin. The project is structured in two big blocks, one more theoretical and the other one more practical. In the first block, we define Bitcoin and what surrounds it, as well as the bases of its system, the blockchain. In addition, the advantages and risks of this cryptocurrency and the differences between Bitcoin and the fiduciary money have been compared. Regarding to the practical block, we have studied the correlation of Bitcoin with the main stock market indexes and also the return-risk binomial, a parameter that is very important at the time of making an investment. At the end, in the final conclusions we have given a justified answer to what is being asked in the title of the project: to invest or not to invest in Bitcoin?
