Abstract:
This work aims to know the characteristics on which humanized childbirth is based. To do this, an analytical descriptive study has been carried out through a bibliographic review of 20 articles. After the analysis of the documents, we can affirm that the humanization of care positively influences the mother, the fetus and the newborn. As well as, the need for a comprehensive education of obstetric equipment, which in turn has an impact on society, on the information/education of pregnant women and their families. Therefore, it is essential that health professionals, especially the midwife, participate in the humanization of care during pregnancy, delivery and postpartum, increase the quality of them, and result in positive experience of the entire process of motherhood.
