    Abstract:
Introduction Although today, pharmacological treatment remains the primary treatment of COPD are also physical treatments that can improve the quality of life of these patients. The reason for this review is to analyse and evaluate what are the best physical treatments, alternative to medical treatment in patients with COPD. Methods We look for meta-analysis (the last five years) in multiple databases. Due to the lack of consensus on the results we decide to include only articles that use test distance of 6 minutes (6MWDT) and St George Respiratory Questionnaire (SGRQ), being chosen four meta-analyses with Tai Chi as intervention. Results Four meta-analyses met the inclusion criteria, a total of 2897 patients with COPD, where all compared Tai Chi intervention regarding an intervention that only includes medical treatment. The results of this review show a significant improvement in physical capacity of the intervention group compared to control 35,40 m [14,39 ; 56,40] and the SGRQ a decrease of -6,71 points [-12,46 ; -0,85]. Three meta-analyses comparing Tai Chi regarding other types of physical treatment. The results show no significant improvements in physical capacity of 11,69m [-13,80 ; 33,07] and the SGRQ a decrease of -3,45 points [- 7,64 ; 0,73].
