    Abstract:
Introduction: The purpose of this study is to know if there is a connection between a lack of cervical motor control, proprioception and pain in this zone. The hypothesis was that students with pain (VD+) had less motor control than students who practiced the same activity but without pain (VD-) and people who don’t play any instrument and don’t have pain. Methods: We have requested the collaboration of violin and viola students from the Conservatories and Music Schools from Camp de Tarragona and also people who don’t play any instrument. This study has been made from November 2017 until May 2018. All the participants were asked to answer some questionnaires (NDI, VAS, STAI, PSFT) and two tests, the CJPET and the CCFT. Results: We observed a significative statistical connection between cervical pain and motor control in violin and viola students. There was also a relation between violin students without pain and people who don’t play any instrument in proprioception (left rotation movement).
