Abstract: Background: Stroke is the first cause of disability and the second cause of death in general population (the first in women). There is strong evidence that exercise after stroke can improve multiple physical and psychosocial domains. Objectives: To evaluate the effectiveness of different CBE programs designed for people after stroke, to describe the structure and delivery of CBE programs and compare their impact onfunctional capacity, the walking ability, the balance and health-related quality of life to different standard care. Antecedents: l’ictus és una patologia molt freqüent, sent la primera causa de discapacitat i la segona causa de mortalitat en la població general (la primera en dones). L’evidència demostra que l’exercici físic aporta nombrosos beneficis en les persones que han patit un ictus. Objectius: valorar l’efectivitat de diferents programes d’exercici basats en la comunitat (CBE: “Community-based exercise”) en pacients que han patit un ictus, descriure quina estructura i paràmetres s’utilitzen, i comparar l’efectivitat dels programes sobre la millora de la capacitat funcional, la marxa, l’equilibri i la qualitat de vida versus els diferents tractaments estàndard.
