    Abstract:
Introduction: Leisure activities are an important part of the lives of a huge proportion of Catalan children. The present research deals with the training of first aid for leisure activities staff, a course designed from the world of leisure to train young people over 18 years to achieve the knowledge. Aims: Our objectives are: a) To evaluate the current knowledge in first aid of the staff of education in the leisure of children and young people of two “esplais” of Camp de Tarragona. b) Create a first-aid lessons plan for leisure staff of children and youth of Camp de Tarragona. Methodology: This intervention study has been carried out by prior evaluation of leisure staff; from which an evaluation has been drawn up and a specific training course on first aid and basic life support, and a subsequent assessment to see the evolution and impact of the acquired knowledge, has been planned. Surveys have been done by 21 leisure staff between 18 and 28 years from Esplai Fem-nos Amics of Reus and from Esplai del Casal Riudomenc. Results: The subjects of high interest by the staff in first aid are CPR, bruises, traumatisms, immobilizations, allergies and adrenaline. The overall grade obtained from the previous survey is 7'2 points out of 10. The overall grade obtained from the postgraduate survey is 9'3 out of 10. Conclusions: The update in the training of first aid improves the theoretical and practical concepts as it has been able to evaluate in the questionnaires realized previously and later to the formation. That is why it is advisable to carry out an annual course of first aid and basic life support. The knowledge about first aid and basic life support of staff in education in children and young people's leisure is associated with years of experience in the world of leisure.
