    Abstract:
Introduction: Early initiation of CPR maneuvers is especially relevant in childhood CRP. The majority of extrahospitalar PCRs happen at home, but only a small number receive CPR from witnesses. It is vital that parents know the most appropriate mechanisms of action to be able to favor the low survival of extrahospitalary CRPs in children. Course objective: To identify the level of knowledge of infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) that parents have in the municipality of Cambrils (Tarragona). Secondary objectives: To know the main causes of childhood extra-hospital CRP, establish which are the most convenient action measures, determine the perception that parents have about the importance of having knowledge of child CPR, identify what is the level of confidence in the professionals of Nursing. Methodology: The methodology used has been quantitative. The method a questionnaire of 23 questions. The sample was 81 subjects, aged between 29 and 51 years and children 0 and 14 years of age. Results: Up to 77% of parents would erroneously apply CPR maneuvers. 80% have never received training and neither had they thought of doing it. Most choose nursing professionals as the most appropriate to instruct them, and primary care centers as the best place to receive training. The main cause of childhood CRP in <1 year is SIDS and> 1 year of trauma. The application of CPR maneuvers is prioritized during the first minute. Conclusions: There is a general lack of knowledge on how to perform CPR maneuvers in children, little interest and perception of its importance. The nursing professionals of the primary care centers are the majority chosen for the realization of this training.
