    Abstract:
The work analyzes the implementation of the motocross activity in Catalonia as an example of the relationship between sports activities and the natural environment, both from the point of view of the conditions for the activity and the impacts generated by it. The first part of the work includes a theoretical framework on geography, natural environment and sport. Once the main concepts have been introduced, motocross is characterized in a second chapter, where it is developed, who practices it and what is its current situation. The third part deals with the places of this sport, with the objective in the understanding of the adaptation between natural resource and motocross activity, for which the circuits are analyzed and compared through a set of variables related to their use and the morphological characteristics where they are located. With that objective and for each one of the places of practice of motocross a file with the main features of interest is elaborated. This detailed analysis finally allows to establish the conclusions of the work, which are complemented by several annexes.
