    Abstract:
This paper proposes to work with a demographic source such as the civil registry and extract the possible information and knowledge. It applies to a small town currently uninhabited, La Mussara, in the county of Baix Camp. Three basic objectives are marked: first, the emptying of information from the Civil Registry of the Mussara; second, to make a study of the demographic dynamics based on the information obtained; and finally make a comparative study between the houses of the town of La Mussara and the farmhouses of its term. After a presentation of the historical and territorial context, with special emphasis on the demographics of the Prades Mountains, the work addresses the work with the civil registry based on a methodology for extracting data specifically developed for the work, exposing them by natural movement of the population (births, deaths, weddings) and also commenting on the resulting migration balance for years from the data. The work also provides an archive with information on each of the houses and farmhouses of the old term of the Mussara, in addition to specific cartography.
