Abstract:
With the social purpose of fighting the social loneliness of the older people, was born “Dinem en Companyia” a project that offers common meals in spaces provided by the council of Tarragona, its main goal is promoting an active and healthy aging. The principal objective of our project is based on the analysis of needs that are met through the project, especially those which take place on the aging process of the various users who participate on it. We wanted to make a description of the sociodemographic and health profile of the differents attendees, as well as, to study the degree of satisfaction the differents users have. In order to carry out the research, we have been using a qualitative perspective methodology, through a bibliographic research as the way to put in context the theoretical and to carry out the practical part, we have done a user observation in “la llar de jubilats i pensionistes del barri de La Granja”. The guideline of the fourteen needs of Virginia Henderson has been followed with the purpose of knowing those covered by the project, being able to observe finally, that only 5 of the needs considered basic have been provided. At the end, it has been concluded that even when the needs of older people have been met, it was observed some of them are lacking. Going to the project, we have observed that help the differents users with their self-perception and self-esteem, on the one hand, they are unconsciously doing physical activity, on the other hand they use different clothing than that used at home, creating as a whole, a positive routine and interpersonal relationships between them. As a fact to take into account, we believe in the need of existence of this type of projects, in order to guarantee the permanence of our eldest people in community, in defect, living in society.
