    AbstractIntroduction:Pain is a sensory experience capable of provoking negative memories throughout the child's life. Venipuncture is one of the most painful procedures performed by nurses during this stage of life. There are numerous methods of pain reduction applicable in pediatrics.Objective: To demonstrate the usefulness of different methods for pain reduction in children during the venous puncture method. Methodology:It was conducted a bibliographic review of all the randomized control trials published from 2015 to 2020. Results:It was selected a total of eight articles that met the inclusion criteria of this review and were alsoadmittedunder the CASPe selection criteria(CASPe, 2016)Conclusion:The pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods were effective measures for reducing pain during pediatric venipuncture. Therefore, it would be convenient to apply them to different childcareunits. Keywords: child, venipuncture, pain, pain management
