Abstract:
ABSTRACTIntroduction: Cancer is the second cause of death in the world according to OMS, which is why nursing care for the SER is essential, from its biological, spiritual, and psychological part. Course objective: To examine whether nursing care helps alleviate cancer pain in adult patients. Methodology: Bibliographic review of 16 articles, in the databases Scielo, Scopus, PubMed, CUIDEN, LILACS from 2015 to 2020. Discussion and conclusion: It is recognized that cancer not only causes physical pain but also produces moral pain and suffering that only lives who suffer it. Nursing care should not only be oriented to the biomedical part, but alternative therapies should also be incorporated into nursing care since its benefits have been proven including it as part of the treatment of the cancer patient, other care is that of being with their experiences, experiences, beliefs, and spirituality. Therefore, nurses must have sufficient preparation to be able to learn on the way of life, from our baggage and experiences, tomanage our own pain in all its spheres in order to understand and care for the pain of others.Keywords: pain, nursing care, cancer patients, literature review.
