Menagement of emotions in nursing staff of emergencies department

Abstract:
ABSTRACT:Introduction:The vast majority of emergency and emergencies nursing personnel experience emotional stress daily. Good emotional management is the basis to be able to acquire good mental health and be able to give maximum performance. Therefore, the search for influencing factors in emotional pathologies such as compassion fatigue, emotional stress or post-traumatic stress and the search for alternative therapies to deal with them.Objectives: To know the emotional management in nursing personnel in the emergency and emergency services, determine the influencing factors and estimate alternative therapies to improve the mental health of workers.Methodology: A bibliographic search is carried out in the main data passes (PubMed, Scopus, Scielo) applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria to adjust the search to the stated objectives. This search has been divided into three different themes-Compassion fatigue in emergency and emergencies nursing-Emotional stress in emergency and emergencies nursing.-Post-traumatic stress in emergency and emergencies nursingResults: After searching and reading the articles carefully, thirteen studies were selected related to the subject of the study, which are divided into quantitative and qualitative.Conclusions: The management of emotions is very important for emergency and emergency nursing staff, since obtaining good emotional control favours job performance and improves the quality of life. Several factors influence this management, therefore, we must know how detect and control them. The use of complementary techniques has shown an improvement in the mental health of emergency and emergency personnel.Keywords: Compassion fatigue, Emotional stress, Post-Traumatic Stress, Nursing and emergencies
