    Abstract:
    Film tourism is that activity that encompasses both trips motivated by a film and the promotion of destinations through cinema. The cinema has a big capacity for promotion and means of communication, being a great instrument that allows positioning a destination and making it fashionable thanks to be on the screen. By positioning it allows the destination to create strategic offers and products in relation to the film or filming made. Crating products around a movie or series refers to creating routes through locations, for example. This type of tourism is booming and that is why many destinations are betting to focus and make the necessary efforts to attract filming for a future attract tourists. The agents responsible for carrying out this activity are the Destination Management Organization (DMO) and the Film Commissions and Film Offices. The efforts made by the film offices are reflected in the number of filming that a destination receives, thus generating an economic benefit. This is the case of the city of Tarragona, since the creation of the Tarragona Film Office the number of filming in the city has grown, attracting both national and international filming.
