    Authors:  García Güell, Júlia
    Abstract:
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a key concept in today’s business management. Companies seek to enhance the companies’ interaction with their stakeholders, who demand to be listened and carry out activist actions to reinforce their position in the corporate environment. In Tarragona, the petrochemical industry is a highly profitable economical hub surrounded by a heated and long-lasting debate about its impact on multiple stakeholders. As the biggest chemical complex in South Europe, it presents an interesting case study for CSR policy and the local stakeholder environment.
