Abstract:
This article aims to convey, to both Social Work professionals and the population concerned, the impact suffered by people who consume one or more harmful substances who are suffering from a mental disorder / illness. Therefore, they want to make known the consequences of this consumption on the mental health of a person who already has a pre-existing disorder. The idea of this article arises from the research carried out in the subject “Applied Social Research” (2018-2019), based on a theoretical methodology through the contributions of different authors and professionals in the field of drug addiction and mental health, in which fieldwork was carried out interviewing professionals from different centers in the field of drug addiction.
