    Abstract:
    The acetic anhydride production plant from acetone and acetic acid aims to produce approximately 700,000 tons per year. The aim of this work is to design the absorption column that will recover the raw materials associated to the process of producing acetic anhydride (acetone and acetic acid), in order to obtain substantial savings in plant losses. The auxiliary equipment needed to meet the optimal working conditions of the column is also designed.
