    Abstract:
    In this project it has designed and implemented a battery charger for an electrical vehicle. The design of the converter is based on the boost converter with a PWM control so that the system behaves like a loss free resistor. The control circuitry is implemented by means of the integrated circuit NCP1654. The battery charger will be analyzed theoretically and by means of PSIM simulations. The design of the PCB has been realized by OrCAD Capture and Layout. Finally, the theoretical predictions have been verified experimentally.
