    Abstract:
    The importance of meeting the psychological and emotional needs of Diabetes Mellitus type 1 adult beginners Objective: Evaluating of the most important educational and psycho-emotional needs for DM patients. As well as, knowing the most appropriate and effective approach to meet those needs. Methods: Qualitative-descriptive design, approached from the hermeneutic phenomenology using multiple cases study as methodological procedure. Results: The first result of the DM are not both organic, but rather psycho-emotional, and these affect directly and indirectly in the management and control of the disease. Conclusions: Is essential to establish mechanisms for dialogue and involvement of patients with the health administration, in order to meet the needs of users and increase control of these about their own treatment and care.
