Phenomenological study: Life quality in women with active venous ulcers.

    Abstract:
    Summary Aim: To determine, by phenomenology, the degree of impact on the quality of life of women with active venous ulcers. Methodology: phenomenological qualitative study. Purposive sample of four women with active venous ulcer. Results: Six of the eight dimensions of quality of life were detected. Being pain, self-image, sleep disturbance and functional limitations the categories which most emerged in the informants. Conclusions: Quality of life is affected in all its dimensions; physical, emotional, family aspects, social and economic.
