Mediation in criminal juvenile justice in Catalonia

    Abstract:
    The main purpose of the following project is to present the process of mediation within the field of criminal liability of minors in Catalonia. The main characteristics of criminal liability of minors and its process are described, highlighting the conciliation and redress in the procedure before the sentence. Furthermore, the main advantages and benefits of the mediation in the juvenile criminal justice are approached. The methodology is based on contributions from professionals of the Juvenile Court in Tarragona, my own research and the theoretical framework from the subject Justícia Juvenil Penal.
