    Abstract:
The present study aims to determine if there is any relationship between the abusive use of social networks, the self-esteem and the emotional intelligence of its users. For this reason, the SMD, EIS and SEI tests were applied to a total of 60 participants aged between 18 and 25. As a conclusion, it is extracted that the abusive use of social networks is inversely related to self-esteem but no relevant relationship has been found between this first variable and emotional intelligence.
