Abstract:
This work is based on the study of the possible influence of social networks on the appearance of Body Dysmorphic Disorder in adolescents. The aim is to analyze whether the hours of use of social networks and the content they consume on them can cause a distorted perception of oneself within the youth population. In addition, variables such as the anxiety produced about physical appearance and the rate of suicide (or self-harm attempts) among the participants are analyzed. The exhibition is approximately 90 people with an age range of between 12 and 18 years (adolescence).
